Q:Could I use this as a TV stand, would it be strong enough?
A:I don’t think it’s good idea to use it as a TV stand. As it’s pretty narrow, and much higher than normal TV unit. But it’s a really nice storage unit.

A:Hi the size from end to end is 13 and a half inches and the opening is just slightly over 10 inches........ hope this helps
